…..But I'll shave it for later. When that's the first thing I think of when I wake up, you know it's gonna be a good day.
As a female, I really like wearing yoga pants. They are comfy, cute, and when worn with the right top, can be mistaken as dress pants. Win-win situation, right? It would be, but I feel like for the amount of time I spend wearing yoga pants, I should actually do yoga. I'm not entirely sure why I don't….it just seems inefficient. I'm not exactly sure what it's supposed to do for you as a person. I know it's supposed to be relaxing and all that, but many other things are too; playing the pianos, blogging, playing with Play Doh, clubbing baby seals, stuff like that. (Note: I do not actually club baby seals to relax. That's awful. I don't club baby seals. I club regular babies. I'M TOTALLY KIDDING ABOUT ALL OF THIS!) I might attempt yoga at some point in my life. Maybe when I'm a stressed out soccer mom who carries bandaids and laughs alone while she eats salad. (http://thehairpin.com/2011/01/women-laughing-alone-with-salad/ )Apparently salad is freaking hysterical, but I digress. I'm sorry, but I really don't think that I can not laugh while trying to deep breath while doing a "downward dog". That just doesn’t sound relaxing. Or appropriate.
I've spent the majority of my Saturday celebrating Christmas with my roommates and sitting on my boyfriend's bed contemplating life once I got my homework done (this is rigorously academic school, after all!) We were talking about the fact that I was playing an unfamiliar guitar and it absolutely shredded my fingertips. We (in unison) termed this as a "mantar" (in the same class as such gems as "murses" and "mantyhose") This, of course, reminded me of the Minotaur (pronounced Min-oh-tour), but I very enthusiastically kept yelling "Like the Minotar! Like the Minotar!" (pronounced Mine-oh-tar) I almost want to pull an xkcd and just pass it off as a clever quirk, but really, I was too excited by adding some letters to the word "guitar" to think fast enough to pronounce things correctly.
Just some casual observations from my week:
- The gym is PACKED after New Years. (Thank you, New Year's resolutions) The best times to go are late at night, and early in the morning. Like that's gonna happen.
- The campus is peppered with fresh relationships. Here we see the awkward Grover couple in it's natural habitat, feeding on same-side-sitting and public make-out sessions. (note: not all Grover couples are like this, but the few that are are so legendarily awkward that it ruins the rest of them)
- Learning the sign language to different songs and practicing them in the gym is both entertaining and practical.
- After a semester of falling asleep with lights on and the miscellaneous sounds that accompany living in a quad, falling asleep over break in a dark, quiet room was much harder than possible.
- When I grow up, I want to be Tina Fey.
I'm going to make the warm weather a peace offering.

I would like to proudly say that I know what webcomic you use. I'm just that awesome. Word.
ReplyDeleteOh, there are so many.
ReplyDeleteI read the title and first line in Sean Connery's voice, I think it really makes the joke a lot funnier. Then again, what joke isn't made funnier by a reading in Sean Connery's voice?
ReplyDeleteIt was written with that intent. Good job. :)
