Winter Can Die

Oh my stars! It's been over a month! Well, I hope the wintery festivities were spectacular for everybody.

I have recently been taught how to play Halo.  This is a very very dangerous thing.  I get flustered easily, and tend to yell at technology when I am having issues with it.  I have discovered that I am very good at shooting my own legs.  I am hoping I turn out to be better at Black Ops  because my irrational fear of zombies will help fuel my killing abilities.  Either that or I will regress back into childhood and lay on the ground in a fetal position sucking my thumb and rocking back and forth.  I guess time will tell!

I am officially at the point where I'm just done with winter.  It was cute when it was snowing at first, but now, it's just obnoxious.  When your face hurts after a few minutes outside, just...just stop it! NOBODY LIKES YOU! NO FRIENDS, WINTER! NO FRIENDS! When I was really little, I used to like the feeling of snow melting on my skin, so I would sometimes just put my face into the snow. Not just like, the tip of my nose.  No, I would fall facedown into the snow, and just let it melt all over my face.  In retrospect, that was probably not a wise choice.

The winter does bring out the poet in me.  Even though I'm a music major, I have an internal dialogue like that of a mentally unstable English major.   I've always noticed really small details instead of the glaring Goodyear blimp of obvious-ness.  One time, in NYC, I had to be yanked back onto the sidewalk by my hair because I saw a really shiny purple pigeon walking around, and I followed it into the street.  But I digress.  Somehow, the pristine blanket of white covering campus just makes my mind get all mushy and start to narrate my every move, often quite dramatically.  I think in a sad attempt to make myself forget about winter, I'm just loosing my mind.  For example, I painted the toenails of my plastic velociraptor, Blitzkrieg, Ruby Red the other day.  I regret nothing.

I'm going to go lay on the ground and play with Play Doh and listen to Regina Spektor till it's spring.
